  • What is Wifi 6?
Wi-Fi 6, the next generation of Wi-Fi, is set to bring about more than just faster speeds. It's designed to improve the efficiency of your internet connection, especially when multiple devices are connected. The theoretical maximum speed of Wi-Fi 6 is 9.6 Gbps, a significant leap from the 3.5 Gbps of its predecessor, Wi-Fi 5. The real advantage of Wi-Fi 6 is its ability to distribute this high-speed internet across multiple devices, potentially improving the speed for each device on the network. Wi-Fi 6 is not just about top speeds for individual devices, but about improving the network when many devices are connected. With the average household having more Wi-Fi devices than ever before, this is a crucial improvement. Wi-Fi 6 introduces new technologies that allow routers to communicate with more devices at once, send data to multiple devices in a single broadcast, and schedule check-ins with devices. This means that even as more devices start demanding data, your connection should remain strong. See more here

  • What can I do to get the most of my wi-fi at home?
There are a few things you can do to make sure your home network is performing at its best. Things like: Minimizing Interference Wi-Fi signals can be disrupted by other electronic devices, such as microwaves, cordless phones, and baby monitors. To reduce interference, keep your router away from these devices and use the 5 GHz frequency band for a cleaner, less congested signal. Regular Maintenance Keep your network in top shape by regularly rebooting your router and checking for firmware updates. Clean the router's vents to prevent overheating and ensure consistent performance. Check out our full list of tips here: Wifi Tips | Teletronics

  • What is IOT?
IoT, or the Internet of Things, refers to sensors and equipment that connect to the internet to monitor, control, and gather data. See some examples of this technology here.
  • How can IOT / Remote monitoring be used in rural settings?
IOT can be used in rural settings in many ways. A few examples include: Monitoring water tank levels: you have access to your stock water tank levels at any time form anywhere. This allows you to see patterns in your water levels and anticipate shortages ahead of time. Fuel tank monitoring: you can see the levels of your fuel tanks from anywhere, anytime and set up theft alerts for abnormal level drops. Monitor and control mains operated electric fences. Remotely access and control lighting and security systems. River / Pond water level monitoring. An many more.... See more information here
  • What is Remote Water / Tank monitoring?
Remote tank and water monitoring is the use of sensors in water holding areas, that can send information via the internet. This allows the sensors to send water level information to software (an app) that can log that data so you can see not only your tank levels at any time but can monitor trends and patterns over time. Giving you a spotlight of the now and information to stay ahead of the game. Check out more here: https://www.teletronics.co.nz/iot-monitoring
  • What are the benefits of using remote tank monitoring systems?
Efficient water management is crucial and remote water tank monitoring offers a range of benefits that ensure your property operates smoothly and sustainably: Improved Water Efficiency: Monitor water levels in real-time to make informed decisions about usage, reducing waste and offering peace of mind. Cost Savings: Remote monitoring helps avoid unnecessary water use, reducing costs on both water and energy. You’ll also prevent expensive damage or crop loss by reacting quickly to any issues, such as leaks or system failures. Quick Issue Response: Receive instant alerts for low water levels, leaks, or other problems. Early detection allows you to address issues before they escalate, ensuring your crops and livestock are never left without water. Sustainability: Track your water consumption and optimize usage to support sustainable farming and vineyard practices. Reducing water waste helps preserve local resources and enhances your environmental impact. Convenience and Time Savings: Remote access to tank levels means you no longer need to manually check water tanks. Whether managing a large vineyard or farm, you’ll have more time to focus on what matters most. Remote water tank monitoring gives you greater control, convenience, and peace of mind—all essential for maintaining the productivity and sustainability.

  • How do I populate addresses into the coordinates?
Street addresses cannot be populated from this system it is designed for on road and off road use where addresses are not important.
  • What is the triggered time and how does it operate?
The "triggered time" refers to specific moments when the GPS data (your current location) is sent from the device to a central system or another user. Think of it like this: imagine you're sending a postcard to a friend every hour to tell them where you are. The "triggered time" is the exact time each hour when you decide to send that postcard. Currently the default setting is 15min or so. This can be changed if you have a particular requirement but it cannot be "live" as this would use to much data on a shared system.
  • Does speed show up on all triggers?
It depends on exactly what the unit was doing at the time of the trigger but the system is not designed for speed recording it's main priority is recording location. I would not use this Farm repeater GPS web interface for a vehicle fleet where speed on every trigger is required. But you will get a good amount of speed data from the system.
  • How do I get a speed report?
Note Reports >> Fleet Detail >> This gives recorded speed detail.
  • How do I replay a units travel path?
To replay the units path during the day simply go to: Mapping >> Radio Map >> Select the radio unit then click the "replay" button to step through the recorded beacons. You can also change the dates and replay the updated data as well.
